ஆனைக்குட்டம் விவரம்

Anaikuttam Reservoir was constructed across Arjunanadhi near Anaikuttam village in Virudhunagar Taluk of Virudhunagar District. The Arjunanadhi originates from the Surplus of Watrap big tank and is a major tributary of Vaippar. The total length of Arjunanadhi is 43.2kms.

By this reservoir Virudhunagar District is benefitted. Virudhunagar taluk is benefitted by this reservoir.

The construction of the reservoir was commenced during 1983 and completed on 26.01.1989 and was inaugurated by the then Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru.M.Karunanidhi. The first water release for irrigation was on 31.12.1993.
