பற்றி இருக்கன்குடி நீர்த்தேக்கம்

Irukkangudi Reservoir was constructed across Vaippar River at 400m upstream side of confluence of Vaippar river and Arjunanadhi near Irukkangudi village in sattur Taluk of Virudhunagar District. The Vaippar river originates from surplus course of Vembakottai Reservoir. The total length of Vaippar river 130 Kms.

By this reservoir Thoothukudi District is benefitted. Ettayapuram and Vilathikulam taluks are benefitted by this reservoir.

The construction of this dam was commenced during 1984 and completed on 20.02.2009. The first release of water was on 25.11.2010.
