பற்றி குல்லூர்சந்தை நீர்த்தேக்கம்

The Kullursandai Reservoir was constructed across Virudhupatti odai (Gowshikadhi) a tributary of Arjunanadhi, which is a major tributary of river Vaippar. Gowshikanadhi originates from the surplus of mangalarevu tank near Peraiyur Village of Thirumangalam Taluk of Madurai District. Total length of Gowshikanadhi is 46.3km.

By this reservoir Virudhunagar District is benefitted. Aruppukottai taluk is benefitted by this reservoir.

The foundation stone was laid by the then Hon’ble Cheif Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru. M.G. Ramachandran on 17.10.1979 and inaugurated on 30.12.1986. The Reservoir was opened for by the then Hon’ble Minister for Public Works Thiru.K.K.S.S.R.Ramachandran irrigation on 18.02.1987.
