பற்றி வடக்குப்பச்சையாறு நீர்த்தேக்கம்

The Vadakkupachaiyar Reservoir was constructed across VadakkuPachaiyar river, a tributary of Pachaiyar which in turn a tributary of Thambirabarani river the foot of Western ghats in Pathaivillge of Nanguneri Taluk in Tirunelveli District.

By this reservoir Tirunelveli District is benefitted. Nanguneri taluk is benefitted by this reservoir.

The foundation stone for this reservoir was laid by Hon’ble Minister for Public Works Department Thiru. K.Durai Murugan on 16.12.1996 and construction was completed and was inaugurated by the then Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Selvi.J.Jayalalithaa on 13.03.2003. The first release of water was on 25.01.2009
